A distribution company has leased 16,000 square feet of industrial space roughly a mile from Port Newark-Elizabeth, in a newly announced deal by The Blau & Berg Co.
According to the brokerage team, the facility at 331 Frelinghuysen Ave. sits on just over a half-acre directly north of Interstate 78. That provided an attractive option for the undisclosed tenant, which Blau & Berg said was “looking for space with a priority on location” and was drawn to its proximity to Newark Liberty International Airport, the New Jersey Turnpike and New York City.
The firm’s Jason Crimmins, Alessandro (Alex) and Peter J. Murano Jr. secured the lease.
“The convenient access to several local highways from this property was a fit with their strategic needs,” said Murano, a managing executive director with Blau & Berg. “This facility also falls into the lower end size-wise of what we are continuing to see persistent demand for, specifically spaces offering under (about) 75,000 square feet.”
