A trucking company has acquired a 1.25-acre industrial parcel in Irvington for just over $2 million, under a newly announced transaction by Lee & Associates New Jersey.
The brokerage firm represented the undisclosed seller in the deal at 71-89 Cordier St., touting the site’s proximity to Port Newark-Elizabeth, Newark Liberty International Airport and area highways. The parcel also provides significant trailer parking, adding to the appeal for a buyer identified as Portex Inc.
Lee & Associates New Jersey Principal Jason Lynch brokered the $2.05 million deal alongside Zev Steinmetz of Gramercy Real Estate Services LLC, who represented the Roselle-based buyer.
“This transaction was especially meaningful as we were able to successfully help a small family business during a global pandemic,” Lynch said. “We were excited to represent this location that provides trailer parking, as it has been in significant demand throughout the state, and we anticipate that this demand will continue to grow.”
