A new IKEA pop-up is coming to the Cherry Hill Mall, in a first-of-its kind shopping experience meant to provide more touch points for new and existing customers of the furniture chain.
Operated by IKEA South Philadelphia, the space will focus on the kitchen category and allow shoppers to design, order and pay for improvements with the help of on-site specialists, according to a news release. The shop will make its debut on Friday ahead of the holiday weekend and will be open through Sept. 30, occupying space within the Route 38 shopping complex owned by PREIT.
“We are excited to launch the first-ever IKEA Kitchen Planning Pop-up at the Cherry Hill Mall,” said Michael Hill, IKEA South Philadelphia customer experience manager. “This is a great opportunity for us to reach and better serve our South Jersey customers. It also gives us a unique opportunity to inspire our customers in an innovative way while also helping to increase their awareness of IKEA home furnishing solutions and services available at IKEA South Philadelphia or online at IKEA.com.”
The shop will be open to mall visitors Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, the news release said. The company added that it plans to open kitchen planning pop-ups in other markets across the U.S. in the near future.
