The Daniel J. Wilcox Camp Hope Fund has donated another $4,000 in continued support of a sleepaway camp for children who have been impacted by domestic violence.
Affiliated with G.S. Wilcox & Co., a Morristown-based commercial mortgage banking firm, the fund recently made the donation to the nonprofit agency JBWS. The gift will help outfit 23 campers ages seven to 13 with camping supplies, snacks and gear as part of a program that is being held virtually this year.
“The Wilcox Family is proud to support these efforts in honor of husband and father, Daniel J. Wilcox,” the company said. “They extend their deepest thanks to you for your support.”
The firm noted that the theme of this year’s virtual camp experience is “The Path to Healing,” according to a news release. That will dovetail with the program’s mission of giving youth a brighter future by utilizing a trauma-informed lens to help them find a pathway to hope.
Daniel J. Wilcox Camp Hope is a Camp Hope America and Alliance for Hope International model program and the only one in the state of New Jersey, Wilcox said.
