The Daniel J. Wilcox Camp Hope Fund recently donated $20,000 to the Jersey Battered Women’s Services in continued support of families that have suffered from domestic violence.
Gretchen Wilcox, founder and president of G.S. Wilcox & Co., recently joined her children Bridget and Wesley to present a check to JBWS President Diane Williams. The donation will support JBWS’ sleepaway camp for affected children, which is now running for its third year.
The contribution by G.S. Wilcox will ensure that nearly 20 campers have the chance to attend the camp free of charge, according to a news release. The young campers will work alongside experienced counselors to develop leadership skills, discover new passions and challenge themselves to overcome adversity.
“The Wilcox Family is proud to support these efforts in honor of husband and father, Daniel J. Wilcox, who shared a passion for helping children suffering from domestic violence,” the Morristown-based firm wrote in its announcement of the donation.
