A team of brokers with Gebroe-Hammer Associates is marking more than $330 million in sales brokered over the past 18 months, a deal volume that includes more than 1,700 units.
The Livingston-based multifamily investment brokerage said Debbie Pomerantz and Gehane Triarsi have recorded 29 sales in both established markets and emerging locations in New Jersey during that time. They include the $75 million sale of 275 garden-style units in an undisclosed Passaic County town, a transaction in which Pomerantz was a member of the brokerage team.
Among Triarsi’s most prominent transactions is the $29.328 million trade of Meridia at Waters Edge, a two-year-old, 108-unit luxury rental community in the heart of Rahway, according to a news release. As part of the Gebroe-Hammer brokerage team, she exclusively represented the seller, Meridia’s Water Edge Urban Renewal Rahway, LLC, and identified the buyer, 4 City Hall Plaza Urban Renewal LLC.
“The Meridia exemplifies how New Jersey’s urban transit villages have been transformed into highly desirable residential locales that have tremendous appeal among today’s sophisticated tenant base,” Triarsi, the firm’s Union County market specialist, said in a prepared statement. “Rahway’s smart-growth development has spanned 16 years and has successfully blended new downtown construction with the city’s established residential neighborhoods and acres of lake and river parklands.”
Pomerantz and Triarsi spearhead Gebroe-Hammer’s efforts in the northern New Jersey and central New Jersey submarkets, respectively, the news release said. All told, their sales over the past 18 months comprise 1,717 units sold for a total of $330.04 million.
“This is an exciting time to be a woman in multifamily investment brokerage, where opportunities to be successful are limitless,” said Pomerantz, who joined Gebroe-Hammer in 2011 and has since emerged as a top producer throughout Bergen and Passaic counties.
