Adam Garcia
By Joshua Burd
Adam Garcia, a shareholder with Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla PC whom the firm recalled as a dedicated and talented real estate attorney, has died at age 37.
The Red Bank-based practice on Monday announced Garcia’s passing, which it described as sudden and unexpected, on Sept. 4. The Brick resident “was an exceptional attorney whose intellect, dedication and professionalism were evident in every matter he handled,” GHC said, adding that, beyond his many professional accomplishments, he “was a trusted colleague and friend whose presence enriched our firm and the lives of those around him.”
“The loss of someone so talented and full of promise at such a young age is truly heartbreaking,” the firm wrote. “We extend our deepest sympathies to Adam’s family, friends and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
“Our firm is united in grief, and Adam will be greatly missed. GH&C will honor his legacy by carrying forward the values he embodied: integrity, compassion and dedication.”
Garcia, who became a GHC shareholder in 2022, was a member of the firm’s real estate and litigation groups. According to an obituary, he had earned statewide recognition, including honors from Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers, while managing “an extraordinarily busy schedule with calm ease, pairing laser focus and inventive problem solving with an easy manner and kindness to everyone.”
“Among colleagues, he was affectionately known as ‘the Adamizer’ for finding a path to victory even in cases that seemed unwinnable,” the obituary read. “He will be deeply missed by his colleagues and clients.”
Garcia grew up in Vernon and graduated from Blair Academy, where he excelled both academically and athletically, especially on the lacrosse field, according to the obituary. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree and juris doctor from Boston College.
He is survived by his wife, Valarie; his two-year-old daughter, Reed; his parents, Michele and Frank; and his sister, Gabby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:

“One of Adam’s most remarkable qualities was his extraordinary ability to build meaningful connections and lasting friendships at every stage of his life — during his youth, throughout college and in his professional career,” his family wrote in the obituary. “His genuinely caring and thoughtful nature had a magnetic quality that naturally drew people closer to him. With a generous heart, Adam often gave freely to his friends and family without ever expecting anything in return.”
