Alfred Sanzari Enterprises is nearing a milestone at its landmark Glenpointe campus in Teaneck, announcing Monday that its 670,000 square feet of office space is almost fully leased.
The multigenerational real estate firm said the property, located at the junction of interstates 80 and 95, had only about 10,000 square feet available after a strong multiyear leasing campaign spearheaded by an agency team with Newmark. That has attracted new commitments or expansions by the likes of Leica Camera, Interstate Waste Services, Cognizant Technologies and Columbia University, among others, bringing the office complex from about 55 to 95 percent occupied.
That includes leasing velocity recorded and sustained through the COVID-19 pandemic, when the office market grappled with unprecedented challenges.
“Glenpointe is a story that transcends four decades of vision and three generations of commitment to setting the standard for excellence in real estate development and management,” said Ryan Sanzari, president of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “The reason Glenpointe has been the destination of choice is because we’ve remained true to our long-term ownership strategy, from the day my grandfather broke ground to today. As we approach this remarkable milestone, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each member of our Alfred Sanzari Enterprises family and Newmark for their tireless efforts.”
Developed by Sanzari in the early 1980s, the 50-acre campus combines a sprawling high-end office component with 700 luxury hotel rooms across The Marriott at Glenpointe, Hampton Inn & Suites and Homewood Suites. Tenants also benefit from a series of amenities including Glenpointe Fitness and The Marketplace, an Urban Eatery, among many others.
“Our team’s leasing success at Glenpointe is a result of collaboration, dedication and a commitment to leveraging the potential of a truly exceptional property,” said Jeff Schotz, an executive managing director with Newmark. “I want to congratulate the Alfred Sanzari Enterprises team and my partners David Simson, Dan Reider and Peter Kasparian on this accomplishment.”
