The Goldstein Group has promoted one of its longtime brokers to executive vice president.

Mark Handwerker

The retail real estate brokerage, which is based in Paramus, announced last week that Mark Handwerker has earned the promotion after nearly a decade with the company.

“Mark has been with the company since 2009 and his promotion is well deserved,” said Chuck Lanyard, president of The Goldstein Group. “Mark has represented many landlords and retailers over the past several years. His vast experience on the retailer side for many years has given him an added ability to understand the deal from a different perspective.”

Prior to joining the firm, Handwerker worked for Ethan Allen and Mattress Discounters, according to a news release. He also has experience as an operator of several restaurants.

Handwerker has worked with landlords such as The Goldenberg Group, ARC Properties, The Kaplan Cos., Devimy Equities, Federal Realty and Windsor Companies, the firm said. He has also represented national operators such as Bassett Furniture, The Learning Experience, Mavis Tire, Ethan Allen, Lidl, Wendy’s and others.
