The Hampshire Cos. will host a golf tournament this fall to honor the memory of Todd Anderson, a longtime and well-respected executive who died earlier this year.
The inaugural Todd M. Anderson Memorial Golf Invitational, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Fiddlers Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, will raise money for his son Jackson’s education. The event includes a luncheon, the tournament, a silent auction and a dinner and awards ceremony.
“Contributions for the event, which will honor Todd’s legacy and passion for life, have been tremendous and have come from all sectors of the northern New Jersey real estate world,” said Robert Schmitt, a Hampshire principal, executive vice president, fund manager and chief investment officer of its HUH US Real Estate Income Funds. “We are thrilled to host the event in Todd’s honor while raising proceeds to provide for his son Jackson’s education.”
The Morristown-based firm is selling several tiers of sponsorships, with remaining options ranging from platinum packages to individual player tickets. The event also features several awards and contests, including longest drive competitions and a $20,000 Putt Off.
Anderson, who is survived by his wife Dorota and his son, joined Hampshire in 2005 and was a principal, executive vice president, acquisitions and leasing director, partners funds. He died suddenly in mid-March at his home in Bernardsville, sending ripples through New Jersey’s commercial real estate industry.
