Greenberg Traurig LLP has deepened its bench of real estate attorneys in New Jersey with the addition of a new shareholder.

The firm this week announced the hiring of Jody E. Saltzman, who will be based in the firm’s Florham Park office. She joins the firm from K&L Gates, where she was a partner.
“Jody is a sophisticated and experienced real estate attorney who is a natural fit for our growing team,” said Philip R. Sellinger and David Jay, co-managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig’s New Jersey office. “Her impressive client base and extensive experience will expand the depth of our capabilities.”
Saltzman has broad experience negotiating commercial leases, subleases and licenses nationwide for landlords and tenants, including deals tied to the office, warehouse, showroom, gallery, restaurant and retail sectors, according to a news release. She also assists clients in reviewing and negotiating architect and construction agreements.
“Some of the most globally recognized real estate companies, owners, operators and retailers are among Jody’s clients, which bolsters what is already regarded as a pre-eminent real estate practice group in the state,” Steven D. Fleissig and David Freylikhman, real estate practice shareholders in Greenberg Traurig’s New Jersey office, said in a joint statement.
Saltzman earned her juris doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a bachelor of fine arts from New York University.
“Over the years I have developed strong relationships with several Greenberg Traurig attorneys in New Jersey, New York and throughout the firm,” Saltzman said. “A number of my clients know and respect this team, and I am confident they will benefit from the firm’s strong global platform and entrepreneurial culture that emphasizes client service.”
