Six retail tenants have combined to lease more than 13,000 square feet in Jersey City and Hoboken, under a series of newly completed transactions by Grid Real Estate.
The deals include new commitments at 109 Christopher Columbus Drive in Jersey City, where Early Beginnings Day Care and Tribos Peri Peri have leased space, Grid Real Estate said. Both tenants are expanding their existing businesses and are slated to be open by the fall.
Meantime, Jersey City Kick Boxing has committed to 3,000 square feet at 372 9th St., part of a new 75-unit midrise building in Jersey City’s Hamilton Park section, according to a news release. Grid Real Estate also announced leases by North Jersey Spine Group and Tra Jiu Jitsu at Hamilton House, a separate 75-unit building in the same neighborhood.
At 600 Harrison, a new 46-unit midrise building in western Hoboken, the firm brokered a lease with The Salon at Hoboken. The deal marks the operator’s second Hoboken location.
Grid Real Estate’s Bobby Antonicello Jr. represented the landlords, Shuster Group and The Daton Group, in all six transactions.
“Downtown Jersey City and Hoboken still remain a hot spot for retailers looking to expand into the Hudson County market,” Antonicello said. “We are seeing a mix of Jersey City retailers inking secondary locations and retailers from all over the state actively pursuing sites in the downtown Jersey City and Hoboken market.”
