A grocery distributor is set to relocate to an 18,000 square-foot industrial space in Hillside, following a lease arranged by brokers with Bussel Realty Corp.
The industrial brokerage on Wednesday detailed the transaction on behalf of Spicy World, which inked the lease at 100 Hoffman Place. The company is moving to the complex from a third-party logistics facility elsewhere in the state.
BRC Senior Vice President Jordan Metz and James (JP) Blasch, a sales associate, represented both parties. The transaction represents Blasch’s first deal since joining BRC last September, according to a news release. The brokers will also be marketing 8,000 square feet of sublease space at the property.
“The new space will enable the company to better service their growing customer base along with their expanded line of SKUs in their product offerings,” Metz said. “JP Blasch joined my team less than 45 days ago and was able to close his first industrial real estate transaction in quick fashion, assisting with the site selection process and conducting the property tours with our client.
“In such a tight leasing market, decisiveness helps win deals, and fortunately we were representing a sophisticated group which knew what they needed, and acted quickly once it was confirmed that the space met those needs.”
Spicy World’s new home provides easy access to Interstate 78, the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway, the news release said. The property features 14-foot to 18-foot ceiling heights and 35-foot-by-35-foot column spacing.
