NAI James E. Hanson has negotiated a 2,800-square-foot lease to bring a supermarket to a newly renovated retail space in Bergenfield, taking the property to full occupancy.
Anthony Cassano, a vice president with the brokerage firm, represented both parties in the deal between 101 Portland Ave LLC and New Grand Supermarket. The transaction will allow the operator to join the one-story, 9,694-square-foot strip center with access to more than 170,000 residents within a three-mile radius, providing a space with 35 feet of frontage, modern roof-mounted HVAC units and ample on-site parking.
Earlier this year, NAI Hanson negotiated a 2,450-square-foot lease at the property with SportsCare Physical Therapy.
“When a retailer is searching for a new space, there are many features they are hoping to check off their wish list that can often be difficult to find in one property,” Cassano said. “101 Portland Ave’s premium location and ideal population density met New Grand Supermarket’s specific needs and its easily adaptable layout will ensure their business will find long-term success at the property.”
