A new H Mart has opened its doors at American Dream, occupying nearly 40,000 square feet inside the massive retail and entertainment complex in East Rutherford.
Brokers with The Goldstein Group and Chaus Realty represented the specialty grocer in the deal, detailing the transaction following the operator’s grand opening on Feb. 17. The space totals more than 38,000 square feet and includes both a grocery store and a planned food hall that reportedly is still under construction.
The brokerage team included Chuck Lanyard, president of The Goldstein Group, and Jeff Chaus of Chaus Realty. They noted that American Dream is among the newest locations for H Mart, the largest Asian American supermarket chain in the U.S., which operates more than 100 stores in over a dozen states.
“We are so pleased to have assisted H Mart in their opening a supermarket at the American Dream Mall,” Lanyard said. “We were excited to be part of the success of American Dream mall and H Mart will be a fine addition to this multifaceted retail and entertainment complex.”
