Arts and crafts chain Hobby Lobby has backfilled a former Sports Authority store in Union County with a nearly 43,000-square-foot lease on Route 22, according to Jeffery Realty.
Brokers with the firm said they represented both parties in the deal at 295 Route 22 East in Springfield. The space was among 450 nationwide that became vacant last year as the sporting goods chain went out of business, including 21 in New Jersey.
Shane Wierks and Augie Caruso of Jeffery Realty, which is based in North Plainfield, represented the landlord. Mike Testa of Jeffery Realty represented Hobby Lobby.
