Rockabill, a development partner and consultant to affordable, supportive and transitional housing owners, has added a multifamily industry veteran to its executive team.
The Hoboken-based firm said P. Christopher Dirr joins its ranks as a principal to help lead its regional growth. In the role, he will focus on using Rockabill’s expertise in affordable housing financing tools to develop and preserve capacity in upstate New York and Pennsylvania, while expanding upon the firm’s relationships with housing authorities, for-profits and nonprofits across the region.
“We are excited to welcome such an accomplished industry professional to Rockabill,” said Niall J. Murray, the firm’s managing principal and founder. “Chris amplifies the strength of our diverse team and will join principals Katie Devine, Tim Collins and Richard Brown further establishing Rockabill as a leader in providing innovative development and financial services to owners and operators of affordable and supportive housing.”
Dirr joins Rockabill after more than 12 years with a national multifamily development firm, where he oversaw all aspects of development in upstate New York and Pennsylvania. During his tenure there, he oversaw the development of more than 2,000 units with a market capitalization exceeding $600 million.
“I am thrilled to join Rockabill,” Dirr said. “Niall has assembled a dynamic and creative team that shares my long-demonstrated commitment to expanding housing opportunities for all, and enhancing communities across New York and Pennsylvania.”
Dirr holds a law degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his undergraduate studies at The State University of New York at Binghamton, according to a news release. Rockabill added that he is engaged civically in western New York and is an active board member of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing, the Pennsylvania Development Council and other industry organizations.
