A historic country club in Edison is slated for a series of renovations as part of a newly announced project by Hollister Construction Services.
The firm this week said the Plainfield Country Club has retained it as construction manager to perform improvements to the property. Among other upgrades, Hollister is renovating 27,000 square feet of the facility’s space to feature state-of-the-art amenities throughout, creating new first-floor dining rooms, lobby, locker rooms, bathrooms and an outdoor covered terrace.
Meantime, the second floor will have various private offices for staff and additional locker rooms and bathrooms for members, Hollister said. The Parsippany-based firm has been working with architect Heintz & Fiore to help the project come to fruition.
The work is slated for a spring 2019 completion.
Established more than 125 years ago, Plainfield Country Club sits at 1591 Woodland Ave. The venue has hosted several PGA events, including the Barclays. The tournament is slated to return to the course next year.
