NAI James E. Hanson has negotiated a full-building, 19,600-square-foot industrial lease in South Hackensack for Everest Construction Group.
In a news release, the brokerage team said the contractor will relocate to 208 Huyler St. from Queens, citing the building’s easy access to the Northeast via Interstate 80, the New Jersey Turnpike and other highways. NAI Hanson’s Andrew Somple and Justin Allessio represented both the landlord, 208 Huyler LLC, and tenant.
The building features 18-foot ceiling heights, 1,200 square feet of office space, two drive-in doors and one tailgate, as well as 20 parking spaces, the news release said. Hoping to capitalize on strong demand for modern industrial space in the South Hackensack market, the building’s owner recently completed upgrades at the property such as new LED lighting, HVAC systems and overhead doors, while it’s also renovating the bathrooms and office areas.
“Due to the lack of available product across northern New Jersey, recently renovated warehouse spaces like 208 Huyler represent the gold standard for industrial space in New Jersey,” Somple said. “Deals like this showcase how these rare properties continue to be able to attract quality tenants like Everest Construction Group to New Jersey. We were happy to work with both of our clients to negotiate a long-term deal that would bring another new business to New Jersey while helping the landlord secure fair market value for their unique asset.”
Everest Construction Group designs, produces and markets aluminum profiles, windows, doors, and facades as well as other architectural applications for architectural studios, construction companies, aluminum system manufacturers and others, the news release said. Headquartered in Albania, Everest’s footprint over 25 years has grown to six locations including Kosovo, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro and the U.S.
