An interior finishes company has announced the hiring of a new regional account executive for New Jersey, New York and northeast Pennsylvania.
The Cleveland, Ohio-based company, Surface Materials Inc., announced that Claudia Febres-Kerr has joined its ranks with more than 20 years of experience, including retail and trade sales of luxury product lines and managing interior renovation projects. The firm touted her background in architectural design and her vast network within the design community, noting that she has lived in the territory for most of her life since moving from Venezuela in her early 20s.
“We are delighted to have Claudia’s experience and strong work ethic in the field helping her clients,” said Kelly Richards, Surface Materials’ president. “Her passion for design and architecture create value for our customers. She has gained valuable knowledge and expertise regarding all her new product portfolio and is already making her mark collaborating and driving specifications in her territory.”
Established in 1976, Surface Materials supplies interior finish products for commercial, corporate, health care, hospitality, education and residential environments.
“Surface Materials presented me with a great opportunity to grow both as a designer and a sales professional,” Febres-Kerr said. “Once I entered my role, I identified the need to forge long-term relationships, apply creative insight and leverage my architectural experience in order to support clients and promote our services to real estate developers, commercial facility managers, builders and the A+D community.
