Burlington, the off-price retailer, is up and running inside more than 1 million square feet of industrial space in Logan Township after a fit-out by Iron Hill Construction Management.
The builder and J.G. Petrucci Inc. affiliate announced this week that it had completed the massive project at the Port Logistics Center at Logan along Route 322. The improvements at the roughly 1.025 million-square-foot facility include a new 69-kilovolt substation, hydrogen battery chargers, 45,000 square feet of interior office space and a 350,000-square-foot, multistory mezzanine, as well as 450,000 square feet of racking and more than 22 miles of automated storage and conveyance systems.
Additionally, Iron Hill completed a trailer parking lot for Burlington on a 49-acre parcel that is surrounded by eight feet of security fencing and features 412 spaces, LED lighting, modern security cameras and a guard station.
“Throughout the entire construction process, our team has remained committed to delivering a quality, innovative facility,” said Steve Hull, vice president at Iron Hill. “This project was a massive undertaking, and our team has certainly risen to the occasion.”
Burlington, a Fortune 500 company, occupies the largest building at the new 190-acre campus developed by Asbury-based Petrucci. The new facility gives it quick access to both I-295 and the New Jersey Turnpike, while it’s a 30-minute drive from Philadelphia International Airport and less than two and a half hours from New York City and Washington D.C.
Other industrial users in the area include Amazon, Target and US Foods.
