A pharmaceutical company has signed a full-building, 68,000-square-foot lease at a clinical manufacturing facility in Cranbury, brokers with JLL announced Friday.
WuXi Biologics, a contract development and manufacturing organization, committed to the space at 7 Clarke Drive as part of a transaction with Cedar Brook Corporate Center. The facility includes space for research and development, biologics manufacturing and offices, JLL said, noting that the tenant will equip the building with process development and quality control laboratories and other supporting functions.
JLL executive vice presidents Robert Ryan and John Buckley represented WuXi Biologics.
“WuXi Biologics continues to develop its global supply chain network,” Ryan said. “The Cranbury location offers the leading global CDMO tremendous access to New Jersey’s highly trained workforce and leading scientists’ pool.”
The Cranbury site is WuXi’s third U.S. location, JLL said. It’s also building a new facility in Worcester, Massachusetts in addition to recently completing a lease of 33,000 square feet for a development laboratory in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
In a news release, JLL said 7 Clarke Drive was built in 1998 and is located within Cedar Brook Corporate Center, a 1.2 million-square-foot office and technology park on 150 acres in Cranbury. The property sits off Route 130 and in proximity to the New Jersey Turnpike at Interchange 8A.
