A quick-service Middle Eastern restaurant is coming to Jersey City after leasing 3,000 square feet at the base of a waterfront office building, according to a broker with JLL.
The New York-based operator, Naya, will occupy space at 15 Exchange Place under a 10-year deal with American Equity Partners. Its location at the 136,000-square-foot building, where it’s backfilling unit that was occupied by Pot Belly, will be its second in New Jersey and will bring the chain’s footprint to around 20 stores.
JLL Vice President Blake Shanaphy represented ownership, with assistance from Senior Managing Director David Stifelman and Vice President Mike Pietrowicz. RIPCO Real Estate’s Jon Paul Pirraglia represented the tenant.
In announcing the deal, Shanaphy noted that 15 Exchange Place is contiguous to the Exchange Place PATH station and NY Waterway ferry service, along with Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service.
