The site of a vacant Sears building in Lawrence Township is on the market for sale, providing a redevelopment opportunity alongside a mall on Route 1.
According to JLL, which is marketing the 15.4-acre lot at 3320 Route 1, much of the existing building and site infrastructure have remained fully intact since the store closed in 2018. The 208,430-square-foot structure is one of two vacant anchor spaces at the Quaker Bridge Mall, providing quick access to highways such as Interstate 295 and Route 206, along with NJ Transit’s Hamilton station.
“The Route 1 Sears Redevelopment Site presents a prime redevelopment opportunity for investors to take advantage of a mall repositioning in one of New Jersey’s most affluent and transit-accessible communities,” JLL wrote in its offering announcement. The brokerage team also touted the property’s location within Route 1’s corporate and health care corridor and within a highly ranked school district.
The lot, which spans 668,597 square feet overall, is being marketed for sale or recapitalization.
The JLL marketing team includes David Monahan, Jose Cruz, Kevin O’Hearn, Steve Simonelli, Michael Oliver and Michael Kavanagh, along with Thomas E. Didio Jr. from its debt and equity placement group.
