Bijou Properties is touting a strong finish to 2020 at its recently developed, 424-unit luxury apartment building in western Hoboken.
The developer, which has partnered with Intercontinental Real Estate Corp. at the property, announced this week that its 7 Seventy House project is near 90 percent leased. The firm hailed the activity as a sign of the building’s resiliency during the pandemic, thanks in part to its offerings for residents and a virtual leasing program implemented early in the health crisis.
“To say the 2020 apartment market was unusual would be an understatement,” said Jaqueline Urgo, president of The Marketing Directors. “The needs of renters changed dramatically, and apartment developers and owners were required to use new strategies and approaches to meet those needs. With a resourceful leasing plan that showcased it roomy floorplans and complete lifestyle, no building was better suited to accommodate prospects than 7 Seventy House.”
In announcing the milestone, the leasing team highlighted the building’s location in Hoboken’s tranquil western edge, along with options for remote work and an abundance of outdoor spaces. The 14-story property, designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects, offers a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, with some 90,000 square feet of amenity space that includes a penthouse pool and roof deck with lounge seating, fire pits and grilling stations and a multilevel gym.
