Developers have opened the doors to a new 140,000-square-foot new freezer warehouse in Elizabeth that will serve French food distributor Seafrigo.
The builders, a joint venture of Elberon Development Group and Avidan Group LLC, announced Thursday that they had cut the ribbon on the facility at 900 Fairmount Ave. The new property includes 18 tailboards, a 60-foot clear ceiling height, parking for 35 trailers and the ability to maintain temperatures from zero to -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
The developers and their tenant were joined by Mayor of Elizabeth J. Christian Bollwage, who lent his support to the project, and other public officials for the opening late last month/
They were also joined by state Sen. Raymond Lesniak, Assemblyman Jon Bramnick, Councilman William Gallman, Councilwoman-at-Large Patricia Perkins-Auguste, Councilman-at-Large Manny Grova, Union County Manager Alfred Faella, Seafrigo International CEO Eric Barbe and Seafrigo CEO-USA Stephane Desseigne.
