A provider of co-working space has leased 6,200 square feet at a Jersey City office tower, in a deal brokered by CBRE Group.
The company, WorkSocial, committed to the new space at 111 Town Square Place, a 15-story building in the city’s Newport section, according to a CBRE news release. WorkSocial provides space to tenants including those in the software, cloud services, media and web development sectors, among others.
Ronald Volk, vice president in CBRE’s New Jersey’s office, represented WorkSocial.
“WorkSocial is attracting a number of forward-thinking employees and firms that are seeking a flexible and amenities-rich work environment, making 111 Town Square Place ideally suited to fit the company’s needs,” Volk said in a prepared statement. “We’re happy to be able to help the company find a space that’s aligned with its mission of stimulating the intellectual and financial growth of entrepreneurs and business owners.”
In its new home, the company will aim to provide private offices and co-working spaces at a competitive price point, giving tenants a prime location with quick access to retail, dining and the Newport PATH and light rail stations.
“This space enables us to provide businesses in the Jersey City area with a flexible work environment that encourages and facilitates collaboration between leading innovators,” said Natasha Mohan, CEO of WorkSocial. “We find Jersey City’s vibrant downtown to be extremely conducive to this mission, as it’s an attractive locale for today’s office occupier, which values a walkable, transit-oriented environment.”
