Urban Edge Properties has added a Korean cosmetics business as a tenant at Bergen Town Center, the real estate investment trust announced Monday.
The new shop, K-Beauty Ave., is showcasing its products at the Bergen County shopping center over the holidays with a kiosk opening Dec. 19, according to a news release. The company’s first-generation owners are then slated to add a full-fledged store there in March.
In announcing the new tenant at its 1 million-square-foot retail property, the Urban Edge Properties team highlighted that more store locations for the Korean cosmetics business are coming to Manhattan and other areas. The team added that the local introduction to this trending beauty concept is supported by the National Federal Beauty Suppliers leaders Wonhyoung Cho and Su Jung Oh, the group’s president and vice president, respectively.
“With the explosion of interest in beauty for all ages — especially in the ‘K-Beauty’ sector — this is an ideal new concept to join the line-up at Bergen Town Center,” said Patricia Zafferese, the team’s vice president of specialty leasing. “With the holidays upon us, we are especially pleased to be able to preview the store and its brands with the kiosk opening this month.”
