A national pallet company has leased more than 153,000 square feet of industrial space in North Brunswick, in a newly announced deal by Avison Young.
The tenant, Kamps Pallets, is using the site at 1735 Jersey Ave. to expand and consolidate its operations in central New Jersey, according to a news release. It was slated to move in earlier this month, Avison Young said, noting that the lease includes more than an acre of industrial outdoor storage on site.
Paul Errigo, Ed English and Ron Ganter, who are based in AY’s Iselin office, represented the tenant in the 153,320-square-foot deal. Mindy Lissner of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, The Saadia Group.
“Kamps Pallets faced the necessity of finding a property not just for operations but also for trailer parking and pallet storage,” Errigo said. “The property at 1735 Jersey Avenue required a variance process to achieve that which went very smoothly thanks to all involved. It not only allowed us to meet Kamps Pallets’ operational needs but also contributed positively to the community by keeping jobs and enhancing the property.”
The brokers noted that the facility in North Brunswick minimizes operational disruption and aided employee retention for Kamps Pallets, given its location near the firm’s previous facility.
“Avison Young’s Industrial Occupier Solutions team supported us every step of the way throughout this complicated real estate process in a very challenging market for our needs,” said Michael Daray, corporate counsel for Kamps Pallets. “Their team approach covered every aspect of strategy, financial analysis and market knowledge, allowing us to make the best decisions at the right times.”
