The Kislak Co. Inc. has promoted three leading members of its sales team, following a banner year for the Woodbridge-based commercial real estate brokerage firm.
In a news release, the company said it has elevated both Janet Bortz and Matt Weilheimer to executive vice president, while promoting Matt Wolf to senior vice president. All three have established track records with the firm, which recognized the brokers and other top producers at its annual sales awards ceremony in New Jersey in January and a subsequent weekend celebration in Miami Beach, Florida.
“The past year was record-breaking at Kislak by nearly every measure,” said Robert Holland, the firm’s president. “These promotions are extremely well-earned and well-deserved, and Janet, Matt and Matt each individually contribute greatly to our collective success. They bring a unique skill set and successful approach to our business and are dominant specialists in their markets. I thank and congratulate them for their efforts and accomplishments.”
Bortz, who joined Kislak in 2002, is a leading producer in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she specializes in the sale of investment properties including multifamily, retail, office and industrial assets. She represents individual owners, multigenerational private investors, real estate firms and institutional clients in acquiring and selling investment real estate, having inked several New York multifamily deals in 2021 for more than $75 million.
Weilheimer, meantime, joined Kislak in 1996 and is consistently among its leading salespeople, specializing in apartment buildings, REO assets and other investment properties in New Jersey and its surrounding states. He has won multiple sales awards at the firm, including its 2010 and 2015 Producer of the Year awards, while his 2021 activity included more than a dozen multifamily deals and other investment sales in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania for more than $50 million.
For his part, Wolf joined Kislak in 2017 after more than a decade of success in the investment sales market in central and eastern Pennsylvania. In 2020, he earned Kislak’s Producer of the Year award and followed that up with a 2021 slate of transactions that included a dozen multifamily and other investment sales in Pennsylvania for more than $100 million.
Bortz is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York and New Jersey, as is Weilheimer, who is also licensed in Pennsylvania. Wolf is a licensed broker in Pennsylvania and is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member.
