KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot has leased 12,300 square feet at St. Georges Crossing, a grocery-anchored retail center in Woodbridge, according to a team with Levin Management Corp.
The national operator, which opened its first location in 2018, will be among the latest food and beverage tenants at the 343,000-square-foot property at the busy junction of Route 1&9 and Route 35. LMC Senior Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad represented ownership in the deal, while Stephan Miller of Welco Realty Inc. represented the tenant.
“KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is a contemporary concept that has broad appeal,” Moawad said. “The experiential aspect of this restaurant allows everyone at the table to participate in cooking the meal, which provides a fantastic opportunity to gather and socialize. We are confident KPOT will be a traffic-driving destination for the shopping center and a great addition to the local restaurant landscape.”
In a news release, LMC said the restaurant will offer a hands-on, all-you-can-eat experience that merges traditional Asian hot pot with Korean BBQ flavors, along with a full bar and nightlife atmosphere. The new location at St. Georges Crossing will be alongside a high-volume ShopRite that anchors the center, along with tenants such as T.J.Maxx, Pet Smart, West Marine, Ulta Beauty, AutoZone and more.
LMC added the property draws 3.8 million visitors per year, citing real-time traffic data from Placer.ai, while it serves a growing residential population of more than 360,000 within a five-mile radius and a daytime population of 231,000 people within the same area.
