Kushner Real Estate Group has named Lyft as its official ride-share partner at a new luxury apartment building in Jersey City, providing residents with discounted fares and other perks.
The companies on Wednesday announced the partnership at 485 Marin, a 397-unit property in the city’s Hamilton Park section. As a result, building residents will receive a user code for 50 percent off all rides on a supply-limited basis for six months, followed by new user credits available for $5 off three rides after the initial six-month period ends.
Meantime, the Marin Boulevard building will now have designated pickup zones and appear in the Lyft app as a pickup destination in Jersey City, KRE said in a news release. The deal makes it the first residential building in Jersey City to offer the services to residents.
“We’re thrilled that Lyft is now the official ride-share partner of 485 Marin,” said Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group. “This partnership will provide our tenants with ease of access to the reliable, fast and affordable service that Lyft offers, in an effort to improve daily commutes and elevate the residential experience.”
The building, which will now have on-site Lyft signage to help drivers and passengers, opened to renters last September and is now more than 90 percent leased. The Marketing Directors is the exclusive leasing and marketing agent for 485 Marin.
