KRE Group has teamed with CBRE to secure a buyer or tenants for more than 345,000 square feet of new flex and warehouse space that it’s set to construct in Ewing.
The brokerage team noted that KRE has obtained site plan approval and demolished the prior buildings at the property at 1500 Parkway Ave., the former home of the decommissioned Naval Air Propulsion Center. Its plans call for three 20,000 square-foot flex buildings and a 285,152-square-foot warehouse, making it a distinctive offering at a site that is immediately adjacent to the Trenton-Mercer Airport.
CBRE’s Ben Shapiro, Brian Fiumara, Chad Hillyer, Brad Ruppel, Kevin Dudley and Kate Granahan will spearhead the sale and leasing campaign for what’s known as the Capital Tech & Logistics Campus, which is a two-minute drive from the Ewing train station, three minutes from the airport passenger terminal and five minutes from Interstate 295.
“This was a very complex site to redevelop given its history,” Shapiro said. “Jeff Persky who led the KRE team saw the value in the property. KRE was willing to invest the time and energy needed to make this redevelopment happen when many others would not. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to represent KRE in bringing this one-of-a-kind asset to the market … Simply put, there is nothing on the market in northern or central New Jersey that matches the capabilities that this campus has.”
CBRE added that the site, which has the potential for a direct connection to the airport, is also close to the New Jersey State House, the New Jersey Turnpike and other key corridors and destinations.
