A seven-member team previously with Transwestern has joined Lee & Associates New Jersey, adding to the firm’s growing footprint in the Garden State.
According to the brokerage, the new additions include Alex Previdi, Jeffrey Furey and Lori Zuck as partners. Meantime, the team has welcomed Doug Rowe and Tim Patterson as senior vice president and assistant vice president, respectively, along with Ryan Price as associate and Erin Colquhoun as marketing director.
“We are extremely pleased to announce these seven new hires who each share an enthusiasm for client service, professionalism and market knowledge that we prioritized across our company,” said Jason Lynch, principal at Lee & Associates New Jersey. “This is a truly diverse group that brings years of experience and a variety of different specialties and strengths. Lee & Associates New Jersey is greatly expanding during this time to meet the needs of clients and respond to market demand across sectors. We look forward to continued growth as well as the progress of exciting new projects and assignments already underway.”
Transwestern closed its New Jersey office in early April after a decade of operating in the state. With the new additions, the 12-year-old Lee & Associates New Jersey team now has more than 60 agents, property managers and other personnel across three offices.
Previdi most recently was a senior managing director with Transwestern, having spent his career focused on industrial services and representing both individual landlords and tenants, according to a news release. Prior to joining Transwestern in 2012, he was a vice president with Cassidy Turley’s New Jersey office.
“The commercial real estate market in New Jersey has a strong network of interconnected professionals,” Previdi said. “The team at Lee has always stood out as a forward-thinking group with a finger clearly on the pulse of this market, which made it the clear choice for my next move.”
Furey, who was a managing director with Transwestern, focuses on industrial and office services for both landlords and tenants, bringing more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience. He joined Transwestern in 2014 after serving as an associate vice president in Cassidy Turley’s New Jersey office and a tenure at Colliers International’s Houston office.
He is a past president and a longstanding member of the Industrial Office Real Estate Brokers Association, the news release said. He is also a member of NAIOP.
“The primary factors that were extremely important while selecting a firm to partner with were corporate culture and strong service capabilities,” Furey said. “From the first initial meeting with Lee & Associates, it was evident that this firm embodies the culture which I value and goes above and beyond to provide ample resources, facilitating success for all team members. I truly look forward to collaborating with everyone at Lee & Associates.”
Zuck, also a former managing director with Transwestern, specializes in industrial and commercial brokerage services for corporate tenants, owners and investors. She comes to Lee & Associates New Jersey with more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience and had been with Transwestern since 2012.
Prior to that, Zuck was a managing director with Colliers, the news release said. She has been a member of IOREBA, NAIOP and the Morris County Economic Development Corp.
“The transition to Lee & Associates has been a great move for me both professionally and personally,” Zuck said. “I have had the pleasure of moving here with a number of great colleagues and join forces with the entire Lee and Associates team that has strong synergy, market knowledge and activity and incredibly welcoming atmosphere. The transition has been so seamless that business has continued as usual and I am excited to be a part of the Lee & Associates team.”
Rowe, who has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, is a former vice president with Transwestern’s New Jersey office. He focuses on the office and health care sectors and, prior to joining Transwestern in 2019, was a senior vice president at American Properties and a managing director at Colliers International.
The veteran broker has represented large corporations including American Express, Cosco Shipping Co., United Airlines and State Farm Insurance.
Patterson, a former senior associate with Transwestern, focuses on both industrial and retail brokerage services for landlords and tenants, the news release said. He was an associate at Stan Johnson Co. before joining Transwestern in 2018, having received accolades from both firms.
Prince focuses primarily on assisting corporate office users and health care providers in both landlord and tenant representation assignments, the news release said. Prior to joining Transwestern in 2018, he worked as a legislative aide for New Jersey Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker.
Previously a marketing coordinator with Transwestern, Colquhoun will now lead marketing initiatives for Lee & Associates New Jersey, helping develop and implement strategic marketing plans across all service lines in support of the capital markets, brokerage and property management teams. She joined Transwestern in 2012 as an executive assistant before moving into a full-time marketing role in 2017.
