A beauty salon co-working business has added more than 54,000 square feet in New Jersey across five new locations, in a series of deals announced by Cushman & Wakefield.
The brokerage represented the tenant, Phenix Salon Suites, in the following leases:
- 15,000 square feet at 473 River Road in Edgewater
- 14,082 square feet at the Greenleaf at Union Shopping Center at 1235 West Chestnut St. in Union
- 11,764 square feet at 275 Route 4 in Paramus
- 7,475 square feet at The Shoppes at Cinnaminson at 195 Route 130 in Cinnaminson
- 5,822 square feet at 1571 Route 22 in Watchung
The deals were part of a flurry of new leasing activity brokered by C&W’s New Jersey-based retail team led by David Townes, who worked alongside Alana Friedman for 27 deals totaling 126,386 square feet over the past five months. Other leases include a 14,148-square-foot renewal on behalf of Fidelity Investments at 150 Essex St. in Millburn and a 5,634-square-foot lease by Dollar Ruby at 55 West Palisade Ave. in Englewood, where the team represented both parties.
“We are ecstatic to have been able to work with such a wide variety of tenants and landlords, especially in the environment we’ve been experiencing,” Townes said. “I am beyond proud of our team and am excited to see what the next few months have in store.”
Townes and Friedman also announced several restaurant leases, the largest of which was a 4,000-square-foot commitment by Krispy Kreme at 247 Route 4 in Paramus. The team represented the tenant, noting that the deal marked its second on behalf of the doughnut chain.
The brokers also represented Popeyes in a recent 3,800-square-foot lease at 2002-2006 Lincoln Highway in Edison. In Denville, they represented Grub Connect in securing 2,500 square feet at 28 Diamond Spring Road, which will be Morris County’s first ghost kitchen concept, while also representing the landlord.
