Lincoln Equities Group has leased more than 303,000 square feet to a maker of clean and organic snack foods, filling one of two new industrial buildings in New York’s Putnam County.
The developer, which is based in East Rutherford, said Lesser Evil will use the space on Pugsley Road in Brewster as a distribution hub for finished goods. It’ll do so from a site that’s roughly 60 miles northeast of New York City and provides access to more than 22 million consumers within a two-hour drive, thanks to a location adjacent to Interstate 84.
Newmark executive managing directors Adam Petrillo and Art Ross, Managing Director Bradley Soules and Analyst Jack Chatwin represented ownership in the 303,100-square-foot deal. They’re also marketing the adjacent 618,000-square-foot building on the campus.
“Our mission continues to be focused around delivering high-quality distribution facilities in well-located areas throughout the Northeast and the leasing momentum at Lincoln Logistics 84×684 is a prime example of us delivering on this promise,” Lincoln Equities Group CEO Lance Bergstein said. “We remain very bullish on the tristate area and believe that it is underserved from an industrial and housing perspective.”
In a news release, LEG said Connecticut-based Lesser Evil specializes in clean, organic and less-processed snacks. Its new home at Route 312 and Pugsley Road has built-to-suit office space, 40-foot clear ceiling heights, 56 dock doors and parking for 252 cars and 19 trailers.
Users at the campus also have easy access to Interstate 684 and Route 7.
“Location is key and Lesser Evil’s lease at Lincoln Logistics 84×684 Crossings puts them in a fantastic spot for its Northeast distribution facility,” Petrillo said. “With its strategic location that offers connectivity to New York City, Westchester and Connecticut markets, we look forward to welcoming Lesser Evil and future tenants to the campus.”
