A new Optimum retail store is coming to a 219,000-square-foot shopping center in Bridgewater, according to a leasing team with Levin Management Corp.
In a news release, the real estate services firm said Optimum is taking 1,100 square feet at the Somerset Shopping Center at Route 202/206 and Route 28. The deal marks the addition of a new tenant category for the property, LMC said, noting that Optimum retail stores assist residential and business customers with services such as high-speed internet, wireless plans and setup and digital cable television and home phone services.
LMC Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty represented ownership, while Jake Frantzman of Ripco Real Estate represented the tenant.
“Optimum is a terrific add for Somerset Shopping Center, bringing in a new type of service to benefit area consumers,” Fernandez-Kelty said. “Securing this lease is a great example of our team’s focus on filling spaces at the properties we represent with the right tenants — not just any tenants. We always look for brands that add to a retail center’s dynamic and appeal for shoppers.”
Optimum joins a host of other retailers, restaurants and service providers at Somerset Shopping Center, including Christmas Tree Shops, Barnes & Noble, Gap, Eastern Mountain Sports and Pearl Vision. LMC noted that the property serves a growing residential population of 121,000 with an average household income of $140,000 within a five-mile radius, while about 72,000 vehicles pass the property each day.
