A longtime tattoo artist has opened a new studio in Franklin Township, where it’s leasing 750 square feet under a deal arranged by Levin Management Corp.
According to the brokerage team, Benny Binnu occupies space at Hamilton Street Center alongside Super Tropical Supermarket, the 27,700-square-foot property’s anchor tenant, along with 99 Cent Plus and a laundromat. The tattoo and piercing shop at 712 Hamilton St. is a new business venture for owner Benny Binnu, a tattoo artist for the past 15 years who began his career in Italy and moved to the U.S. four years ago.
LMC Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty represented ownership, while Angelo Mitlo of Deluccia Commercial Group represented the tenant.
“Opening my own shop has been a dream, and I am excited to see this dream become a reality,” Binnu said. “Our shop is modern, clean and comfortable. A tattoo is forever — selecting the best tattoo artist gives someone the best experience and optimal results. I do beautiful work and invite potential clients to visit our shop to discuss their new tattoo and see how my skills can bring their vision to life.”
Super Tropical Supermarket occupies 12,800 square feet at the property, located in the town’s Somerset section.
“We are pleased to accommodate Benny Binnu’s space needs at Hamilton Street Center,” Fernandez-Kelty said. “This business will benefit from the property’s excellent demographics and visibility in the revitalized Hamilton Street corridor, as well as its proximity to downtown New Brunswick and Rutgers University. It is a great fit for this neighborhood.”
