A logistics firm has leased nearly 15,000 square feet of office and industrial space in Freehold, in a newly announced deal by Sheldon Gross Realty.
According to the brokerage team, Hy-Tek Material Handling will use the space at 920-922 Route 33 for product and component testing. The Columbus, Ohio-based company is leasing 14,792 square feet at what’s known as Fairfield Corporate Park, which is near Garden State Parkway Exit 37 and other highways, providing access to both Manhattan and Philadelphia.
Sheldon Gross Realty Executive Vice President Jonathan Glick and Assistant Vice President Matt Leonelli represented ownership, Fairfield Industrial Park LLC. The firm has now completed more than 30 office and warehouse leases at the park since taking on the assignment more than five years ago.
“In a real estate market with such significant supply restrictions, it’s essential to be creative in addressing a customer’s space needs,” Leonelli said. “That’s particularly true for a company like Hy-Tek, which had an unorthodox requirement that about 60 percent of its space be for offices. We were able to address this need by combining two separate units within the park. Also, Hy-Tek was already operating in central New Jersey, so this new location in Fairfield Corporate Park enabled the company to retain current employees by remaining in the area.”
