A logistics firm is moving to a newly renovated warehouse in Elizabeth, where it has leased 54,000 square feet as part of a deal announced Monday by NAI James E. Hanson.
Brokers with the firm represented Elion Partners, the landlord at 1000 Jefferson Ave., in the transaction with Massiano Logistics. The latter is relocating to the 202,000-square-foot property thanks in part to its proximity to area highways and to the region’s port facilities.
NAI Hanson’s Barry J. Cohorsky, LJ Koch, Russell Verducci and Eric Demmers completed the assignment, while Cornerstone Real Estate Group’s Eric Ladden represented the tenant.
“One of the byproducts of the COVID-19 pandemic was an accelerated surge in e-commerce,” Verducci said. “Consequently, the demand for warehouse space has remained strong, and it has become increasingly difficult for businesses to well-located spaces with modern amenities. Our deep understanding of the northern New Jersey industrial market was key in helping Elion Partners find and secure a quality tenant in need of warehouse space. We are pleased to be able to help negotiate a successful deal on our client’s behalf, especially one that is reflective of the area’s strong demand.”
First constructed in 1948, the property was renovated in 2019 to feature white-box warehouse space equipped with new LED lighting and high-efficiency windows, according to a news release. The property sits on more than 8.6 acres, featuring 105 parking spaces and 16-foot ceiling heights.
Massiano Logistics, which uses proprietary technology to coordinate furniture deliveries, will occupy a space that includes a dedicated 0.4-acre side lot and eight loading docks.
