Brad A. Molotsky has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in its real estate and energy, environment and resources practice groups, the law firm announced.
Molotsky, who spent 18 years as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Brandywine Realty Trust, will be based in the firm’s Philadelphia and Cherry Hill offices, the firm said in a news release. His primary practice is focused on commercial leasing, acquisitions and divestitures, property management, financing and real estate joint ventures, including mixed-use development.
While at Brandywine Realty Trust, Molotsky was responsible for all legal operations of the company, including acquisitions and divestitures, financings, joint ventures and other areas, the news release said. During his tenure, the company grew from four buildings and six staff members to some 300 buildings totaling 28 million square feet.
Molotsky also has deep experience in board governance and managing public company issues such as enterprise risk, internal audit, compensation, proxy statement preparation and review, along with energy efficiency and sustainability and corporate social responsibility. He was named general counsel of the year in 2014 by the Philadelphia Business Journal and in 2013 by NJBIZ in 2013, while being awarded the Martin Luther King Community Service award in 2014.
Molotsky is Villanova University Law School graduate and earned an MBA in finance from Villanova University.
