NAI Mertz has promoted a 30-year industry veteran to executive vice president and director of brokerage and corporate services.
The Mount Laurel-based commercial real estate brokerage announced the new role for Fred Meyer, who will continue to oversee all company brokerage activities in the industrial, office and retail sectors. Additionally, he will play an active role in the growth and quality performance across all brokerage service lines.
“We thank Fred for the positive results he has produced, inspired and managed throughout his tenure at NAI Mertz,” said Barry Mertz, CEO of NAI Mertz. “Fred is an invaluable member of the NAI Mertz team, and I am pleased to recognize him with this extremely well-deserved promotion.”
The firm said Meyer’s career has included directing multistate real estate searches and portfolio analysis for national companies such as GXS, Empire Today, MasTec, Matheson Tri-Gas and McKinsey Consulting. For NAI Mertz, which serves southern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, he is a consistent top producer and a mentor to new salespeople and experienced agents.
“Fred’s industry expertise and exceptional leadership capabilities, on both a local and global level, heavily contributed to this honor,” said Dave Grove, Mertz’s chief operating officer. “He is a motivator to the experienced professional, and a mentor to our new class of brokers. Our company is stronger and more innovative as a result of Fred’s contributions.”
Meyer, a trained six-sigma black belt, has won numerous national real estate awards and was inducted into the NAI Global Hall of Fame, NAI Mertz said in a news release. The firm added that Meyer was recently tapped to co-chair of NAI Global’s tenant representation committee, having previously chaired the industrial and logistics committees.
He attended college preparatory school at Horace Mann School in Riverdale, New York, and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester.
“I greatly appreciate this recognition from the entire team at NAI Mertz,” Meyer said. “My growth and success in the industry is a result of the numerous long-standing client relationships that have generated hundreds of transactions and lasting friendships.
“I am fortunate to be surrounded by a fantastic team that shares my belief in doing what is right for our clients’ business needs.”
