The site of a former catering hall in Glassboro is now slated for redevelopment after a sale arranged by brokers with Vantage Commercial.
In a news release, the firm said it represented an estate in the transaction at 50 South Academy St. The property, which spans more than an acre and a half, also includes an attached residence and a detached improvement that had been used as a hair salon and two-car garage.
Vantage Commercial Sales Associate Mike Gries led the team that completed the deal, noting that Bluestone Commercial Capital also advised the seller. The buyer intends to redevelop the property to a use more congruous with the surrounding neighborhood and consistent with the needs of the community, the firm said.
“The property is a sunny plot less than a mile from rapidly expanding Rowan University,” Gries said. “It is a natural redevelopment opportunity for the buyers. I am happy to have delivered for my client and I look forward to seeing the buyers breathe new life into the property.”
