Two new tenants have committed to a 540,000-square-foot, mixed-use property in Marlton, where its owner is in the midst of a $70 million redevelopment project.
The developer, RD Management LLC, announced recently that it had signed leases with Evesham Mortgage and Children of America at what’s known as The Shoppes and Residences at Renaissance Square. They will occupy 12,753 square feet and 10,000 square feet, respectively, at the complex along Route 70 between Plymouth Road and North Locust Avenue.
The businesses will join tenants such as Virtua Medical Group, TD Bank and a host of other retailers and operators. When complete, The Shoppes and Residences at Renaissance Square will include 338 luxury apartments, retail, restaurants, medical, office and commercial space.
Evesham Mortgage — a licensed mortgage banker in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida — will use the location to serve both clients at Renaissance Square and other branches.
“This modern office building at The Shoppes and Residences at Renaissance Square will enable Evesham Mortgage to enhance the southern New Jersey community’s access to quality mortgage products,” said Rick Brown, CEO and president of Evesham Mortgage. “We strive to be the best hometown lender by helping clients find the right mortgage product for their lifestyle and look forward to better servicing our clients and partners from our new location in Marlton starting this summer.”
Children of America, meantime, is a childcare and education operator whose Marlton location will be among 65 centers in New Jersey and a dozen other states.
“As a leader in early childhood education, Children of America brings a valuable component to The Shoppes and Residences at Renaissance Square,” said Richard Birdoff, principal and president of RD Management. “Educational uses in shopping centers are gaining in popularity, and we’re excited Children of America chose our location to service families in the Marlton community.
“As our redevelopment continues, we look forward to welcoming more quality tenants that will complement our current roster of businesses and hosting grand openings.”
New York-based RD Management is revitalizing the site of the former Tri-Towne Plaza, a decades-old property that was once anchored by Kmart and then Sears, but later became the target for redevelopment by local officials. Among other improvements, an existing right of way on Route 70 will be transformed into an open space and park to include jogging paths, walkways and a pond.
