NAI James E. Hanson has announced a new hire aimed at bolstering its team of Parsippany-based brokers.

William C. Ericksen Jr. joins the firm as an associate specializing in office sales and leasing in northern New Jersey, NAI Hanson said Tuesday. The recent Rutgers University graduate joins the Teterboro-based firm after serving as a summer associate with Pfizer Inc., where he focused on global research and development compliance operations.
Previously, Ericksen was a legal intern to U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Rosemary Gambardella in Newark, where he helped conduct research on legal and policy issues pertaining to Puerto Rico’s financial crisis and ongoing debt refinancing, according to a news release. He has also worked closely with the George Street Co-op and the Rutgers University Dance Marathon.
“Fostering the development and growth of the next generation of real estate professionals has long been a focus of ours at NAI Hanson,” said W. Joshua Levering, a senior vice president with the firm. “We look forward to welcoming Will to our team as we know his background gives him the tools to succeed in this business and support our brokerage team as we continue to cement our position as the largest New Jersey-based independent commercial real estate services firm.”
Ericksen, who graduated from Rutgers earlier this year, grew up in Chatham.
