A law practice is on the move in Paterson after leasing nearly 13,000 square feet at a prominent office building in the city, in a transaction arranged by NAI James E. Hanson.
The brokerage firm said the tenant, Northeast New Jersey Legal Services, will occupy the entire second floor of the 14-story, 180,000-square-foot property known as 100 Hamilton Plaza. The downtown site provides it with a space that is more modern and accessible, with a location that is within walking distance of the Paterson train station and the Broadway Bus terminal.
NAI Hanson’s W. Joshua Levering represented the tenant in the 12,530-square-foot deal.
“This deal not only exemplifies the importance of upgrading to quality when the opportunity presents itself but showcases how a relocation change, even if simply across town, can fundamentally enhance a company’s ability to service and grow its client base,” Levering said. “Understanding the firm’s importance to the community, we identified a property best suited to serve both the firm and their clients.
“We have a long history with Northeast New Jersey Legal Services and know that a location like 100 Hamilton has a direct impact on its employees and stakeholders. It was our top priority to connect this client with the opportunity to increase the accessibility of their services to the Paterson community.”
NAI Hanson noted that, for nearly 50 years, Northeast New Jersey Legal Services has served local residents who are lower-income, elderly or disabled. Its team will continue to do so while now having access to amenities such as an on-site cafeteria and a Planet Fitness gym.
