A martial arts academy will occupy half of a newly built, 5,600-square-foot retail building in Emerson, following a lease arranged by brokers with NAI James E. Hanson.
The firm said it represented both the tenant and the landlord, Hudson Emerson Properties LLC, in the lease at 200 Kinderkamack Road. The occupant, Faustini’s Institute of Martial Arts and Fitness Inc., has relocated to its new 2,800-square-foot space from Oradell.
NAI Hanson’s Randy Horning and Darren Lizzack brokered the deal for the Hackensack-based firm, touting the location on Emerson’s main thoroughfare and accessibility to a nearby train station. They also cited the building’s frontage and modern space.
“For most retail operators, when it comes time for relocation, a highly visible location is often on the top of their wish list,” Horning said, noting that “200 Kinderkamack provided the tenant with an ideal highly visible location in a modern building in the heart of Emerson’s Central Business District at a favorable price point.”
“In working with both the landlord and tenant we were able to negotiate a deal that enabled Faustini’s to find a new home in Emerson while providing the landlord with an established and reputable tenant.”
