A supplier of firefighting equipment is moving to Hackensack after buying a 6,000-square-foot industrial building just off Interstate 80, according to brokers with NAI James E. Hanson.
The business, New Jersey Fire Equipment, paid $1.48 million for the single-story facility at 163 Liberty St. It’s now set to relocate from Ridgefield Park to what will be a central Bergen County location, where it will continue to serve career and volunteer fire departments as well as law enforcement, EMS, industrial and commercial customers statewide.
NAI Hanson Vice President Dominic Fittizzi represented both the seller, JWC MGT LLC, and the buyer in the deal. He noted that the building has 12-foot ceiling heights, a drive-in door and six on-site parking spaces, while its location off I-80 and minutes from routes 17 and 46 provides strong access to northern New Jersey and the George Washington Bridge.
“Prime industrial space in central Bergen County remains in high demand, and finding a building that truly fits a business’s needs is increasingly difficult in today’s market,” Fittizzi said. “It is an honor to help a longtime New Jersey company secure an ideal new location that supports its operations and positions the business for continued growth.”
