Two top brokers at NAI James E. Hanson have earned national honors for their role in the more than $156 million sale of a large industrial outdoor storage portfolio in Hudson County.
The off-market deal, which closed last October, included 48.7 acres in Harrison and Kearny that a team led by Scott Perkins and Christopher Todd assembled on behalf of the buyer. That was enough to secure the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors’ 2024 Top Transaction Award in the “largest industrial transaction” category, one of several honors announced last week by the global trade organization.
“As a longtime member of SIOR, I could not be prouder to take home this highly sought-after award,” Perkins said. “Both Chris and I take great pride in our SIOR designations, and to be recognized by our colleagues highlights the strength of our partnership, the trust our clients place in us and the continued vitality of New Jersey’s industrial market.”
Presented annually, the SIOR Top Transaction Awards highlight the top deals from SIOR’s global network of 4,000 leading commercial real estate brokers, according to a news release. Teterboro-based NAI Hanson noted that Perkins, Todd and colleague William Ericksen represented Chicago-based Ambient Capital Partners in its purchase of 310 and 505 Manor Ave. and 401 and 500 Supor Blvd. in Harrison and 129 Sanford Ave. and 433 Bergen Ave. in Kearny, which equates to one of the largest industrial outdoor storage portfolios ever sold in New Jersey.
“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication that Scott and I bring to every assignment,” Todd said. “We’re honored to be recognized by SIOR and proud to have played a role in one of the most significant industrial transactions in New Jersey this year.”
