L. Robert Lieb, the esteemed chairman of Mountain Development Corp., will mark yet another career milestone on Monday when he joins NAIOP New Jersey’s Hall of Fame.
The commercial real estate development association will induct both Lieb and Monica Casiello, vice president of business development and marketing with U.S. Title Solutions, as part of a program that’s likely to draw hundreds of industry leaders to the Hilton East Brunswick. Those on hand will include colleagues from Roseland-based Mountain Development Corp., which Lieb founded in 1979, as he receives at least his third honor from the New Jersey chapter.
“Bob Lieb has been a mentor to me and countless other New Jersey real estate professionals for many, many years, and this honor for him is richly deserved,” said Michael Seeve, MDC’s president, later adding: “Bob has placed special emphasis on acquiring assets with real architectural interest and seeking out and winning significant space commitments from the most sought-after tenants.”
The induction will be a key portion of NAIOP’s President’s Awards and Hall of Fame Reception, one of the organization’s top events of the year. Lieb, who has been honored twice before at the chapter’s annual spring gala, has spent almost five decades as a sophisticated, long-term real estate investor with notable projects such as the Summit Medical Group campus in Berkeley Heights, the Telx Data Centers in Clifton and the revamped 56 Livingston Ave. office building in Roseland.
“As a member of NAIOP NJ for over 41 years, Bob has provided our chapter with unparalleled industry leadership,” NAIOP New Jersey CEO Dan Kennedy said. “His knowledge and experience in CRE are invaluable to our membership.”
Active throughout the Northeast, MDC’s team includes in-house development, accounting, property management, construction, leasing and marketing professionals, enabling the company to operate autonomously and execute business plans for complex and varied projects, the firm said.
“Bob has assembled a significant regional portfolio, and he has also taken an active role in numerous charitable and philanthropic endeavors,” Seeve added.
